NP & DNP

Certification prep that keeps up with your clinical hours

Alma is an AI study platform for nurse practitioners. For people studying around a full clinical week. Set your hours in the Schedule, run a Practice Patients station between shifts, and ask Alma questions she answers from your own notes.

Where to start

Your first week, if you're a nurse practitioner

Quizzes follow the published AANP or ANCC exam outline for the exam on your profile. Those outlines say what the exams cover but not how their items are worded, so your own guidelines and readings do most of the work.

  1. Upload the guideline you're reading

A guideline PDF or a review article works well. The questions come from that document, so you practise what you're reading this week.

  2. Dictate a note after clinic

Press Mic in the Notebook and say what you noticed. Later, ask Alma about it. She answers from your own note.

  3. Set your hours honestly

In the Schedule, hours run from 0 to 12 for each weekday, so a clinic day can be zero. When a week goes wrong, Catch me up rebuilds the plan and keeps what you did.

Every tool is the same for every audience. These are the examples written for yours.

A generated clinical-vignette question with the right answer explained

Learning Hub

Upload what you were taught. Practise on it.

There's no time between clinic days to hunt for the right page. Upload the guideline or review article you're reading this week. The questions come from that document, and they follow the AANP or ANCC outline for the exam on your profile. Switch to Hard once the basics are in.

    Notebook

Notes you can write fast, and then actually use.

Write down the clinical pearl before it's gone. After a patient with an odd presentation, dictate it into your notebook. Later, ask Alma what you noted about it. She answers from your own words.

A flashcard answer with the Again, Hard, Good and Easy buttons and their intervals

      Flashcards

Flashcards that come back when you're about to forget them.

If you work clinic hours, you study in gaps. New cards per day default to 20 and you can lower that, so a session fits into ten minutes. After a bad week, Catch up works through the 50 most overdue cards.

        Practice Patients

Rehearse the encounter before it is graded.

Clinic is history, examination and a plan, one patient after another. Run a station between shifts: take the history, ask for the findings you want, name a diagnosis and write the plan. Then compare it with the case notes.

You study in gaps. Ask Alma what to do with the twenty minutes you have. She can see your due cards, your exam date and the topics you miss most. For a clinical question, you get an answer with PubMed references you can check.

                      Common questions

                      How does Alma work?

You bring the material your program actually assigned: lecture slides, course readings, your own notes. Alma turns it into practice questions, flashcards on a spaced-repetition schedule, mind maps, a knowledge graph and simulated patients. Every question comes from your own material.

Where do the questions come from?

From whatever you upload: a lecture PDF, a set of slides, a guideline or your own notes. The questions follow the style of the exam on your profile, and each one explains the correct option and every wrong one.

                      Which exams does Alma cover?

Exams covered for nurse practitioners: AANP, ANCC, FNP, AGNP. Every audience gets the same tools. The exam on your profile decides how the questions are written.

                      Is there a free trial?

Yes. Every individual plan starts with a one-week free trial. You are not charged if you cancel before it ends.

Is my material used to train AI models?

No. Your notes, uploads, questions and queries are not used to train, fine-tune or improve any AI model, ours or a third party's.
